What Are Normal Cholesterol Levels?
Cholesterol levels vary from person to person, but in general the lower the non-HDL and LDL cholesterol and the higher the HDL cholesterol, the better.

The recommended healthy levels are:

- High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) (‘good’ cholesterol) – 1 mmol/L or above for men and 1.2mmol/L or above for women.

Testing Instructions
In order to perform the test please read the device instructions carefully and follow the below steps:
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water or clean with an alcohol swab. Allow to dry.
- Ensure the sampling area is dry, as leftover water, moisture, or soap can alter the blood sample and lead to inaccurate results.
- Avoid squeezing your finger excessively - this can affect the results. Massage the hand without touching the puncture site by rubbing down the hand towards the fingertip of the middle or ring finger.
- Puncture the skin with a sterile lancet. Wipe away the first sign of blood.
- Add the Fingerstick Whole Blood specimen to the test cassette by using a capillary dropper.
- Wait a couple of minutes to have the results to have shown up on the screen
